I've been saving the last few of your podcasts until I can fully listen and enjoy them. I LOVE YOUR PODCASTS! Whatever you want to share with us, I will listen and enjoy. I initially started listening to Stitch It because of knitting, but continue to listen and enjoy because of everything else you share with us. I listen for you, not just knitting. I've been inspired by so many things you've said, from chugging along with my handspindle, cleaning with vinegar, gardening, and everything in between. Words cannot describe how much your podcast means to me, and many other people out there in podcast listener land. I'll listen to anything you podcast, be it about knitting, spinning, sewing, gardening, thrifting, painting your walls, picking up carpet mibs, watching Thomas the Train, leering at a sheep's junk....whatever!

hello meghan, I just wanted to chime in about the format. I listen to your podcast for the fiber issues but I adore (and usually stop and tell hubby sitting across the room) the stories about littleman...I enjoy the homesteading info also and would love to do more on my own. The from scratch info was touching.

I don't know i you thought about it or if anyone suggested but how about this. Instead of pushing yourself to knit/spin just to have something to talk about, why not still do every week, but one week knitting (that way you can work more at your own pace) and the other homesteading? The fav thing, fav word could overlap so you wouldn't have to think up 4 things. Maybe have two diff podcasts entirely letting people know that up front.

Its perfectly fine for you to explore new paths, that's LIFE. I do not spin, but I have to say, you are sooo knowledgeable (did you ever hear about your soar submission?) and a good speaker on spinning, I think you would be really letting the passion and expertise sour by not sharing it. Knitting just takes time, that why I could never podcast, I don't produce fast enough to be interesting. So if you are working on a sweater for a month or more...it's ok, just to know you are working on something is a comfort to us. I know you belong to she-knits group on ravelry and she is knitting while she podcasts, but she also is making dinner or what not...It's ok, we give you permission to be normal and relax. Hugs.

I have been listening to you for over a year and thoroughly enjoy your podcast. I am not really a knitter and definitely not a spinner. I am a crocheter and yet, your podcast is absolutely my favorite for all the reasons everyone has already mentioned. I know doing a weekly podcast is a huge commitment. If it enables and energizes you to continue please discuss anything you wish. And, even if you can just manage 15 minutes, keep it weekly. You are always inspiring and entertaining and I would feel like there was a big hole in the universe if you stopped.

Hi Meghan,
To be brutally honest, I'd rather wait to hear you 2X/month rather than have you get rid of the knitting and spinning. For me it's the primary reason I listen to your podcast.

I enjoy hearing about Little Man and your home/work life. I am always amazed with all the things that you get done in a week, but I primarily listen to any knitting/spinning podcasts to hear what folks have on your needles, what fiber they are spinning/carding/washing/picking, or any other fibery things they are doing. I just love your podcast and would wait to hear about everything and if I am not interested in something you are talking about, I'll just fast forward my iPod.

Thanks for all that you do,
Lani in Central Oregon

You talk and I'll listen. I enjoy the homesteading almost as much as the fiber.
I love having an episode every week even if it has to be a bit shorter and not have all the usual segments.

As to bees, they are sensitive to chemicals, so if they are outside your own fence they could be harmed by what ever fertilizers or pesticides the landscaping crews might put down, check into that first!

Hey Meghan, I love the podcast and just listened to your last episode. I love the idea of hearing more about your homesteading. I think it's important that you keep the podcast fun for you and about things that are happening in your life or else you will totally burn out and we won't have any podcast to listen to! Keep up the good work!

I loved your podcast. This is my first time. I would not mind having more town homesteading because I am trying to get into that myself. But please keep stuff in about knitting and spinning also.
Thanks you for taking time to do this for all of us.
Which Magazine were you wanting to order? It sounds interesting.

First, I LOVE your podcast.

Second, the podcast is about YOU and what you're up to. It's just fine with me if you talk about whatever you have been doing. No special formalized format needed.

Third, I'd love it if you kept it once a week. I'd go through withdrawl without that.

Fourth, if it's your podcast, I think it should be still called Stitch it! Because, you're stitching together a community who love listening to what's going on with you.

Just because you don't talk about knitting every week, you're still stitching it...you're just stitching us together with you.

Just my opinion.

~Chris, with fingers crossed for once a week!!!!!!

I think it would be fine if you had a "fiber" section and just put in whatever fibery things you were working on. It would also be fine if you said something like, "The fiber section is small this week because I was building a fence for the tomatoes." I realized as I was thinking about this, that I don't listen anymore to Stitchit! because it's a knitting podcast, but because I like listening to you and how you tell the stories of what's going on in your life. Personally, I'd like you to keep knitting/spinning in even if some weeks there isn't any to talk about. But I liked listening to Spinnerin's podcast where, in addition to knitting/spinning, she read Fairy Tales and talked about making goat cheese.

Also, I like your "favorite thing," even when it seems a stretch. I think that it is too easy to take little pleasures in life for granted and focus on the negative, and thinking of something like baking soda or vinegar as a "favorite thing" helps to remind me (and I assume other listeners) to appreciate those small things and not lose sight of them.
