How funny that you mention hooping in this episode. I've wanted to start hooping ever since I ran across Gleeks post on her blog a few months ago. I bought a cheapo hoop but it just didn't do the job. And, I've been hesitant to buy one of the more expensive hoops from Hoopnotica (hey, I saw their van driving on my way to work this morning!). I even considered making one myself but never got to it. But, now after listening to this episode I'm newly inspired to make one. Wish me luck!

I wanted to share a picture of my recent lace project. I am so happy with how it turned out. I took a vintage doily patterned and resized it as a shawl using Malabrigo lace weight. My sister was very happy with her birthday present.
