Hi Meghan,
I listen to your podcast when I'm working (cleaning houses and offices). I like how you have it organized. I grew up in Chicago (Hyde Park) so your voice reminds me of "home".

I had a similar idea about adopting a sheep/goat. I was thinking that I don't have the land for such an animal but I know there are flocks here and maybe I could own one but have it live with someone's flock and pay a maintainence fee. Maybe your idea is easier to figure out. Unfortunately all the sheep at Little Meadow Farm are adopted for this year. I'll look around, maybe there is another farm.

Eee! Your sheep are too cute :)

It's funny you mention flicking the corrie-- mine was a small fleece (~3#) and had lots of sections I had to cull out since it was so short, too short for combing. I was thinking about getting a set of 2pitch handcombs for them, but now I'm leaning more towards flicking and spinning. I'll have less waste and hopefully will end up with a sweater qty... hopefully! :)
