Extra bobbins – I had a length of 3/4 inch PVC pipe that I have cut into 5 inch lengths. I wind my bobbin single off to the ball winder, then set the PVC pipe on the ball winder and slide the ball of singles off. Its smoother and easier to use on the lazy kate.
Got the idea on http://www.nancysknitknacks.com/Yarn_Ball_Cores.htm but I already had the PVC! Frugal!

I have been listening to your podcast for the past few weeks and wanted to say that I enjoy it very much!!! I am a new knitter, very interested in spinning!!! Listening to you has peaked my interest even more. Just want to say keep up the good work and keep the podcast going.

Have you seen the steeked blankets in the second Mason-Dixon knitting book? Fair Isle and steeking – and they’re absolutely gorgeous!! Must see!!!
