She-Knits will be there! She didn’t mention that on her podcast!

    Meg –

Glad to hear about baby Nevaeh! I hope they are doing great. Robin was the same wei weight but 3 inches shorter!

At our farmer’s market recently I met a lady who raises sheep and knits from her own yarn. However, a different lady does all the spinning and she had a booth there, too, and I talked a little spinning to her. She has like 20 wheels and had tons of awesome roving for sale. That was cool!!

We are hooked on apple orchards, too. We’re going tomorrow with a bunch of friends with babies!

I tried to hit the mp3 player path for Podcast 40 and it didn’t find the location. Couldn’t download it. I love your podcast, it’s my “Favorite Thing” but I can’t hear Episode 40 – please let me know if there’s something I’m doing wrong. I’ve been able to get all the other episodes and don’t want to miss this one. Thanks, Chelle

I think it was you that mentioned socks wearing out on the bottom very quickly. I’ve been meaning to send you a bit of advice Cat Bordhi gave but I keep forgetting. She had a lady in a class who said everyone wants her to knit socks cause they never wore out. During the class Cat figured out the lady was knitting them “wrong. She knits into the back of the loop inside of the normal from the front. What this ends up doing is creating a twist in the stitch that makes it a bit tighter and a bit thicker where the loop crosses over itself. Both of these things make the stitch loops stronger. Try this on the bottom of your next pair of socks and they may last a bit longer.

I must say I relish your podcasts every time! This one struck my funny bone in such a way!! I distinctly remember forgetting to put underwear on in grade school! Went to school in my dress and my jammy bottoms!!

Not the same as forgetting to take them but my doughter did something like that once!

I just found this episode funny I laughed out loud…but the spirit you show in willingness to try new things and the work you do is great!

I love the SPINNING and thanks to you I am now spindling away! I would LOVE to try a wheel but is just an extravagance I should not do yet…! You are such an enabler!!
