Thank you Megan!!
I'm a fairly new spinner and I couldn't figure out why I was having so much trouble plying! This podcast solved the problem for me. I needed a tensioned lazy kate, and had no money to buy one. Thank's to you, a shoe box, and my dusty aluminum needles, I'm plying like no one's business and it's coming out perfect!! Thanks Teach!!

Hugs,
~Chris, Texas/Idaho snowbird currently in Virginia

Meghan, I really enjoy your podcast. Your personality shines through and you're fun to listen to.
I loved the hair stuff and would love to hear about henna--my hair is wavy and thick and getting gray, darn it!
Gorgeous yarn, too.
And your vinegar suggestion of a few episodes back is incredible. My husband even tells his co-workers about vinegar now!

I just finished listening to your podcast and I wanted to share another way to ply your yarn. Wind your single onto your ball winder and then making sure you have both ends slip the ball off the winder and insert you thumb into the center of the ball. Taking both of the ends run them back through your spinning wheel and begin plying the single back on itself. I love this type of plying because there is no left over yarn like there is when you ply off of bobbins. I have also used this technique with a drop spinndle it works great. This technique is call "Center Pull Plying."

Meghan - I really love your podcast!

The most important thing for me on this episode is the hair thing. I learned some of what you talk about in the hair category when I was a dog groomer and transfered my shampoo/hair knowledge to my own hair. I've been using that info for over 30 years. What I didn't know that I learned as a result of your podcast is that I have curly hair! Why I didn't know that is a result of always blow-drying my very thick and long hair and that my curls are relaxed. But, after doing the stuff recommended on the Jessicurl site, there they all were! This was even with my current hair products.

Needless to say I plan on buying Jessicurl and changing what I do. And I have you to thank for it.
