    Hi Meghan,

    Just listening to the part where you talk about coffee. My sister worked at Starbucks for a while, and Starbucks is a little weird with their caffeine content. Amazingly, an Americano at a Starbucks has LESS caffeine than their regular coffee. So you may have been decreasing your caffeine inadvertently! A grande bold roast coffee has 330 mg of caffeine and a grande americano has only 225 mg.

    I have not used coconut oil in cooking because it does alter the taste of certain foods. I tend to taste more coconut than the actual food. I am interested to know how the texture of the cookies because certain oils do have a different affect in baking. Yes the trick of making a fluffy pancake is not to over mix the batter as well.

    Hi Meghan, I have followed you for quite a while and even though I don’t really knit enough to say I can do it, I love your podcast. In regards to your bird seed issue…I had that same problem with field mice in my garage, those nasty little things not only got into my birdseed but they got into my husbands grass seed. I have the solution for you……You have kitties, soooo use the plastic containers from the liter or food to store the seeds in!!! That’s what I did. I hope this helps.

    Decaf Chai worked for me. Strong tasting and spicy! It was the only thing that was an acceptable alternative to coffee for me. I got loose chai tea from the health food store and brewed my own. I only added a spoonful of honey and a tiny bit of milk. Usually Chai from the coffee house is way too sweet. Make your own at home!

    Yoga…I go only once a week and then do a few poses here and there at home as needed. It’s amazing how much better I feel. I used to think I was getting arthritis, but it was just a lack of moving my body and stretching. Swear to god…it made this 48 year old feel ten years younger!

    Finally, I recommend drinking a lot of water. It really helps to bring up your energy level. I just discovered cucumber water…a few slices of cucumber in ice water. Very refreshing.
